Congratulations, NARFE members, for your outstanding achievement of surpassing your $17 million fundraising goal! This is truly incredible, and we couldn’t be prouder and more thankful. Because of NARFE’s efforts, we’re gaining ground and building momentum in the fight against Alzheimer’s — especially as we recognize June as Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. Joanne Pike, DrPH, Alzheimer’s Association president and CEO, said it best: “By raising more than $17 million to date for the Alzheimer’s Association, NARFE has funded critical research toward treatment, risk reduction and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's and all other dementia while also providing vital funding for our care and support services through their participation in Walk to End Alzheimer’s®. We are inspired by NARFE members’ generosity and grateful for their commitment to raise an additional $1 million for our mission by the end of 2028.” Together, this progress carries into Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. This month is dedicated to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease, promoting the importance of brain health and sharing simple ways we can all protect our brain health. Throughout June, supporters wear purple, volunteer in their communities and raise awareness about the more than 55 million people worldwide who are living with Alzheimer's or another dementia. There’s still time to participate in this meaningful month, building on the momentum of NARFE’s remarkable achievement. We appreciate you and all you do to help end this devastating disease. Thank you, NARFE members, for your commitment to our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. |
